We have been collaborating with a talented artist for a year. Continue reading to learn about Cynthia Coulombe Bégin, an artist well worth discovering. We have no doubt you will be just as charmed by her art and her personality as we are.
An artist from Québec, Cynthia Coulombe Bégin has been surrounded by the arts since early childhood. At the age of fifteen, Cynthia participated in her first exhibitions with her mother, who is also an artist. The knowledge passed on by her parents helped her acquire many artistic techniques. After her studies at cégep de Ste-Foy and at Université Laval in Québec City, her career soon took off. Since 2009, she is represented by nine art galleries in various cities throughout Québec and Toronto, as well as one in Los Angeles. She gains significant experience by attending group events and by exhibiting her work in art shows around the world. One of her next goals is have her art permanently exhibited in Europe.
With a love for discovering emerging artists and sharing her passion, Cynthia founded her own gallery called Galerie d’art Factory in 2013. She had over twenty emerging artists from Québec under her wing. Two years later, following certain circumstances, Cynthia decided to focus her energy on her own creations and her personal career goals. She then transforms her business into a travelling gallery and an online boutique offering unique gift ideas much like her art. We got to experience her visuals on the Québec version of The Voice in 2019 (giant portraits of the four coaches), as well as during a live performance on Salut, Bonjour.
Daughter of an artist and mother of two daughters, 6 and 9 years old, Cynthia shares her passion with her family. The eldest of the two daughters makes jewelry from pieces of paint of her mother’s artwork. She even attends exhibits alongside her mother Cynthia and her grandmother. It is a wonderful passion passed on from generation to generation!
Throughout the past ten years, her artistic process has been in constant evolution. Her love of performing arts, such as dance, influences her work. Through various brush, spatula, and spray paint techniques, Cynthia presents original and authentic works of art that express who she is in that very moment.
