1- If you have a sink opposite a wall, it’s very convenient to add a matching single pendant light for a bit of extra lighting to make washing dishes easier. Adjust the pendant’s height, so the base is above eye level.

3- Flush mount ceiling light can also provide good lighting throughout your room. Their circular pedestals provide uniform lighting.

2- Track lighting is often chosen to provide centralized general lighting in the kitchen. Its biggest quality stems from the flexibility of its adjustable heads, which can be set to light areas exactly the way you need for optimal lighting impact.

4- Recessed fittings are also a good choice. They can light your entire kitchen. Simply set them 6 inches from cabinets and 18 inches from walls. Here are the recommended installation distances according to recessed fitting type:

MR-16: One to every 4 to 6 feet

PAR-20: One to every 3 to 4 feet

GU-10: One to every 2 to 3 feet

LED: One to every 3 to 5 feet
